Floyd M. Clouse

Floyd M. Clouse, 73, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at The James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, surrounded by his family.

He was born January 23, 1952, in Tiffin, to Alvin and Bessie (Fox) Clouse. On January 26, 1974, he married Rebecca "Becky" Sherwood at St. Mary Church in Tiffin.

Survivors include his wife, Becky Clouse of Tiffin; sons, Mike (Penny) Clouse of Tiffin and Andy (Andrea) Clouse of Fostoria; daughter, Elizabeth (Brian) Kummerer of Alvada; brothers, Dave (Laurie) Clouse and Steve (Valerie) Clouse, both of New Riegel; sisters, Marge White of Port Clinton, Martha (Jim) Davis of Temperance, Michigan, and Ruth (Steve) Brown of Bowling Green; sister-in-law, Linda Clouse of New Riegel; nine grandchildren, Jerrod, Taylor, Kayce, Billy, Dalton, Grant, Owen, Cody and Brooke; and two great-grandchildren, River and Stetson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Brad Reinhart; brother, Thomas Clouse; and sister, Janet Emerine; and brother-in-law, Dennis Emerine.

Floyd was a 1971 graduate of New Riegel High School. He was a truck driver and farmed the family farm with his brothers and nephews. He was a member of Tiffin Eagles No.402, Tiffin Moose Lodge No. 846, and New Riegel Moose Lodge No. 872. Floyd was an avid sports fan appreciating the rush of NASCAR and Dale Earnhart's legacy. He loved relaying family histories of the people he grew up with, and was a fantastic storyteller, often telling four stories at the same time. He never met a casino he didn't like and loved playing cards. Most importantly, Floyd's helpful and tender heart was felt by all who were blessed to know him.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2025, at All Saints Parish with the Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.

Friends may visit and share memories with family from 3-7 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2025, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
