Frank SanGregory Obituary
Frank J. SanGregory, 92, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
He was born March 6, 1931, in Tiffin, to Salvatore and Dominica (Famulare) SanGregory. He married Antoinette "Toni" Pepe on July 24, 1954, at Immaculate Conception Parish, Bellevue, and she preceded him in death Dec. 26, 2019.
Frank's survivors include his sons, Sal (Tammi) SanGregory of Perrysburg and Michael (Jenny) SanGregory of Tiffin; daughters, Theresa (Dean) Distel Jr. and Annette (Jim) Baker, both of Tiffin; brothers, John (Marge) SanGregory of Bellevue and Tony (Jackie) SanGregory of Tiffin; sisters, Christina SanGregory and Lucy Borer, both of Tiffin; 10 grandchildren, Salina (Thomas) Wright, Josh (Kristin) Distel, Nickalas (Tiffany) SanGregory, Jason Distel, Michelle (Steve) Risner, Jenelle Miller, Jonathan (April) Distel, Dylan SanGregory, Sidney (Zach) Dutro, and Hailey Baker; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Jim Borer.
Frank worked as a lathe operator for 24 years at General Electric until 1981. After working at GE, he sold insurance for Pry Insurance Co. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where he was a Communion Distributor and lector. He volunteered for Big Brothers/Big Sisters for seven years, at Krout Elementary School for two generations of his grandchildren, and was a Cub Scout Master. Frank enjoyed gardening, computers, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
Frank's funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2023, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Pastor Rex King officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tiffin-Seneca Public Library Children's Department or ProMedica Hospice.
