Frankie L. Vanhoosier

Frankie L. Vanhoosier, 63, of Crestline and formerly of Bucyrus, passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022, at Galion Avita Hospital.

Frankie was born Aug. 1, 1959, to Emery and Elva (Carender) Vanhoosier. He was married to Barbara Engler for many years.

After graduating from high school, Frankie went on to work for Check Mate in Bucyrus. He would later work for RNR Donley in Willard and was there for more than 20 years before retirement. Frankie was a lover of all animals, but dogs were his favorite. He also enjoyed collecting Hot Wheel Cars.

Frankie is survived by his stepson, Derek Engler; nephew, Emery Zarcone of Bucyrus; niece, Angela (William) Mason of Bucyrus; and many cousins.

Frankie was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Frances Zarcone.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Crawford County Humane Society.
