Frederick Lynn Flechtner

Frederick Lynn Flechtner, 78, of Toledo, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at his residence.

Fred was born October 8, 1947, in Tiffin, to the late Robert and Lucy (Metzger) Flechtner. He married Jane (Lucius) at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tiffin, August 10, 1973. They later divorced, and Jane continues to reside in Tiffin.

Additional survivors include his children, Eric (Amy) Flechtner of Wellington, Florida, Laura (Ryan) Montgomery of Columbus, and Lindsay (Mallory) Revel of Englewood, Colorado. Fred also had three grandchildren, Elsie and Holden Flechtner and Wyatt Montgomery. Fred was also survived by his beloved dog, "Buddy"; a brother, Scot (Jean) Flechtner of Kissimmee, Florida; and a sister, Kay Shultz of Richmond, Virginia.

Fred had a strong work ethic and worked for many years in the HVAC Industry, and was a member of Pipefitters Union in Toledo. A long-time Tiffin resident, he was a 1966 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School.

Fred was a proud United States Army veteran and served his country during The Vietnam War. Fred loved being outdoors and had a passion for golfing. When not on a golf course, he could be found staying busy, working on projects in his garage.

A Celebration of Fred's life will be from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. There will be a veterans service conducted by United Veterans Council starting at 3 p.m. There will be no burial at this time.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
