Gary Gurney Obituary
Gary O. Gurney, 78, of Attica, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024, in the emergency room at Mercy Health - Willard Hospital.
Gary was born Aug. 9, 1945, in Willard, to George and Violet (Miller) Gurney. He married Jane Snay on Nov. 14, 1964, in West Independence, and she preceded him in death Sept. 13, 2023.
Gary's survivors include a son, Eric (Jen) Gurney of Attica; daughter, Krista (Jim) Phillips of Attica; five grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janet Swartzmiller; and two brothers, Dennis and Billy Gurney.
Gary was a member of Union Pisgah Church. He worked at Pioneer Rubber Company and was also a farmer. He later worked at Attica Lumber Company, retiring in 2008.
Friends and family are invited to a graveside service for Gary at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Attica-Venice Cemetery, with Pastor Ron Spyker officiating. There will be no visitation at this time.
Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, Bloomville, is assisting family with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Seneca East Public Library.

Krista, Eric and families:
We are so sorry for the loss of your dad. We have so many wonderful memories of our get togethers when you kids were growing up. So much fun and so many laughs! Your dad was also such a good friend of Dennie´s. Thinking of your dad and mom will always bring smiles to our faces. You are in our thoughts at this difficult time.
