George Ringle Obituary
George W. "Bill" Ringle, 79, of Tiffin, passed away at 10:20 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.
Bill was born April 22, 1943, in Tiffin, to the late George and Janice (Griffin) Ringle. He married Agnes A. (Rewoldt) in California and she preceded him in death April 30, 2012.
Bill's survivors include his sister, Anne Bilger of Bellevue; half-brother, John DeBarbrie of Tiffin; two nieces, Janelle Veard of Lorain and Ellen Mast of Powell; two nephews, Jeff Hohman of Tiffin and Joe Hohman of Troy; and close friend, Steve Ruhl of Chicago, Illinois.
Bill was a career U.S. Navy man who served three tours during Vietnam and retired as a Chief Machinist Repairman. After retiring from U.S. Navy, Bill went to work for Raytheon Technologies for 15 years on Johnson Island as a security guard at USS Missouri, where he loved interacting with other Navy veterans and active duty sailors. Bill was a longtime member of AA and 1962 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Agnes Ringle; and two half-sisters, Jane Kidder and Marilyn Troup.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4-6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin. A military service will be at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific PunchBowl in Hawaii.
Memorial contributions may be made to United Veterans Council. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.shookfamilyfh.com.

to Anne and Family, I am so saddened to hear of Bill's passing. Such a kind thoughtful young man during high school. Always the perfect gentleman.
