Geraldine M. Smith

Geraldine M. Smith, 81, of Fostoria, passed away Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.

She was born Nov. 26, 1941, in Fostoria, to George and Edna (Biddle) Craley. She first married Ronny Driggs in 1961 and he passed away in 1968. She then married Jim Kraylek and they later divorced. She then married Bill Smith in 1989 and he passed away in June, 2012.

She is survived by her daughters, Marcia (Geoff) Studrawa and Lisa (Jim) Siebenaller, both of Fostoria; brothers, Richard (Cindy) Craley of Wapakoneta and Phillip (Christine) Craley of Fostoria; sisters, Patricia (Bill) Smith of Fostoria and Phyllis (Jerry) Dysinger of Cabel; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Sherrie Simonis.

She retired in 2004 as a clerk at Sterling's Convenient store and previously worked as a nurse's aide at Fostoria Community Hospital for 25 years. Geraldine was a 1960 graduate of Fostoria High School and member of High Street United Methodist Church. She loved camping, bingo, and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Geraldine's funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, 2023, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev. James Sharrett officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, West Millgrove, at a later date. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, 2023, and 10-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
