Glenna L. Tyree

Glenna Lexie Tyree, 85, of Tiffin, passed away May 30, 2025, in the Chiara Center at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.

Glenna was born August 15, 1939, in Smithtown, Kentucky, to Charles and Elizabeth (Black) Hickman. She married Harold W. Tyree on July 20, 1955, in California, Kentucky, and he preceded her in death December. 7, 2001.

Glenna's survivors include her children, Michael (Jennifer) Tyree and Marshall (Ta-ah) Tyree of Tiffin, Linda (Darrin) Holman of Fostoria, Mitch (Kolenia) Tyree of Tiffin; grandchildren, Kori Tyree, Amanda (David) Kessler, Christopher (Betsy) Davis, Arminda (Benjamin) Ginniver, Elisha Tyree, Josh Tyree, Eric (Karis) Tyree, Rachel Tyree, Travis Tyree, Kris (Kenny) Miller, Kurtis (Angel) Miller, Stuart (Samantha) Holman, Kristi (Tiffany) Hartman, Helena (Robert) Farrell, and Kaleb (Elizabeth) Tyree; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Ruby Yancey of Whitley City, Kentucky, Brenda Hornback of Butler, Kentucky and Lenna Dykes of Guilford, Indiana; and very best friend of many years, Mary Tyree, of Tiffin.

Glenna was a life-long homemaker. She was a hardworking mother who raised hardworking children. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Tiffin. She was a dedicated Christian who loved the Lord, enjoyed going to church and was always ready to lend a helping hand. She loved singing at church every chance she got and sang in her church band, The Doves. She was a member of T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) in Tiffin. Glenna will be greatly missed by all who loved her dearly. The family would like to thank the staff at the Chiara Center for the wonderful care that was provided.

Glenna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Mark W. Tyree; baby granddaughter, Kendra M. Mak; six brothers, Hubert, Ruben, Hobert, Philip, Kenneth, and John Hickman; and five sisters, Anna Owens, Lois Iseral, Phillis Hickman, Elvaree Gentry, and Joyce Morrow.

Glenna's funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow services Wednesday at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Memorial contribut-ions may be made to Freewill Baptist Church in Tiffin or the Chiara Center at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.
