Gordon A. Gibbs

Gordon A. Gibbs, 83, of Bellevue, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Bellevue Care Center.

He was born Nov. 30, 1939, in Haskins, the son of Elmer and Naomi (Bemis) Gibbs.

Gordon served in Ohio National Guard from 1962-1968. During that time, he was employed by Reinhart Sale's in Bowling Green. In 1970, Gordon purchased what would become Gibbs Equipment and he would operate the company for 48 years. He served as member of First National Bank Board of Directors for 28 years and served as a Trustee of The Bellevue Hospital Foundation. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Elks Lodge #1013, Bellevue.

Gordon married Kathleen Fox on Sept. 22, 1962, in Haskins, and she survives along with their two sons, Michael (Michelle) Gibbs and Kirk Gibbs; six grandchildren, Joseph, Samuel, Emily, Collin, Zane, and Graham Gordon; and sister, Joan (Van) Zink.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tom Gibbs, and sisters, Verna (Lowell) Brown, Ruth Henne, and Donna (John) Schadenfroh.

At Gordon's request, private services will be honored.
