Gregory Beach Obituary

Gregory "Gregg" Beach

Gregory "Gregg" Allen Beach, 66, of Fostoria, passed away Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

He was born July 12, 1958, in Fostoria, to Richard and Barbara (Kirian) Beach. He married Chris Covrett on May 20, 2000, in Fostoria.

He is survived by his loving wife, Chris Beach of Fostoria; daughters, Amber (Dustin) Mengert of Fostoria, Ashlee Guzman of Sylvania, Brook Bennett of New York, and Libby (Chas) Cavey of Fostoria; sons, Alan Beach of Fostoria and Albert (Katie) Beach of Fostoria; brothers, Dave (Jan) Beach of Findlay, Chris (Lori) Beach of Sylvania, and Michael (Michelle) Beach of Mason; sisters, Kathy Hill of Fostoria and Tracy (Dave) Minty of Arlington; and 14 grandchildren.

Gregg was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Julie Armon; and brother-in-law, Dave Hill.

Gregg was a graduate of Fostoria High School. He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria. Gregg was a member of Knights of Columbus. Gregg was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather (also known as Papa). He shared in Chris' love for horses and loved to golf, play the lottery, watch Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Lakers games, and help others. His willingness to help others was inspiring. Gregg always had all sorts of things that he collected over the years and if he had something that someone else could put to use, he was quick to offer it to them. His personality was one that will never be forgotten. He found joy in making people laugh with his jokes that would light up the room. He was known by many and anyone who crossed paths with him will remember him as the thoughtful, generous, caring, loving, funny, and hardworking man that he was.

Gregg's funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev. Mark Self officiating. Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Fostoria.

Memorials can be made to Seneca or Hancock County Humane Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

First of all I want to say to all his family I am sorry for their loss. I worked at Roppe with Greg, he was a fun loving guy. Him and his brother in law put an AC unit in my house, and I knew his sister Kathy. I could not attend the visitation due to out of town company,

Chris, I wanted to take a moment and share how much my father Doug Hodges loved Gregg, it´s always special when you see your parents have friends that mean as much to them as Gregg meant to dad! It was a pleasure getting to know you both! Sending prayers to you and your family.
