Gregory L. Shelt

Gregory Lawrence Shelt, 63, of Cleveland Heights, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025, at Catawba Island, Port Clinton. He was born August 31, 1962, in Tiffin, to Lawrence and Mary Jane (Blust) Shelt. He was a 1981 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Ohio University. In 1997 he married Valery Bollman.

A master painter by trade, he owned and operated Renaissance Painting & Decorating Inc., prior to joining Curb Appeal Painting. Greg had a passion for making people laugh, music, backpacking, woodworking, gardening, and dog Sayde. He was proud to be an OU alumnus, Cleveland Browns fan, and Goon Squad member alongside lifelong friends.

Survived by his loving wife, Valery; their daughter, Madalyn (fiancé Gavin); parents, Larry and Jane Shelt; sister, Sara Belser (Mark); and nephew, Alex.

Predeceased in death by brother, Kevin.

A celebration of life service will take place in the future and be announced by Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Port Clinton Chapel, 1124 Fulton St., Port Clinton, OH 43452.
