Henry George Bentz

Henry George Bentz, 87, of Tiffin, died at 2:30 p.m. peacefully at his home Thursday, September 18, 2025. Henry was born August 9, 1938, in Tiffin, to Raymond and Gervace (House) Bentz. Henry was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Wagner, October 19, 1957, at St. Boniface Church, New Riegel, and she survives.

Other survivors include his children, Jeffrey (Lynn) Bentz, Cathy (Mike) Watson, Richard Bentz, Phyllis (Mark) Stanton, all of Tiffin, and Helen (Brad) Krupp of Monroe, Michigan;14 cherished grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, and anticipation for a great-great-grandchild on the way.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Paul, Donald and Jim Bentz; four sisters, infant Sally, Betty Ott, Anna Margaret Voss and Susanne P.

Henry received his education at Reed School. Henry worked for American Standard for 41 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and actively involved in various community organizations, including Eagles, Moose, and Elks.

Visitation for family and friends will be 1-6 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2025, at TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883. (419)447-3113.

A liturgy service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, September 22, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens.
