Henry H. "Harry" Smith

Henry H. "Harry" Smith, 90, of Tiffin, passed away Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, at The Willows at Tiffin.

Harry was born June 27, 1933, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to John and Margaret (Young) Smith. He married Vera (Fahrer-Sifford) on Dec. 9, 2006, in Tiffin, where she currently resides.

Harry's survivors include his children, Victoria (David) Chinchar of Washington, Christine (Paul) Bhe of Indiana, Susan (Mike) Wilde of Canada, and Ron (Geri) Selose of Canada; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Harry was a skillful woodworker for Perry-Hill Wood Industries and was also a self-employed contractor. He had many hobbies and enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, camping, square dancing with T-Squares, and traveling. He loved giving back and often volunteered his time at Mercy Hospital and First Lutheran Church. He participated in community events at Allen Eiry Center and was a Master Gardener. Most of all, Henry enjoyed the company of his friends, family, and loved ones.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Elizabeth Schiller; and two brothers, Peter Smith and John Smith, his fraternal twin.

A memorial service in Harry's honor will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, at First Lutheran Church, Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will be 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin, is assisting family with arrangements.
