Deb and I were so sorry to hear of Irene `s passing,
Though we know she´s now reunited with her husband Dick, above that truly was remarkable.
I was privileged to serve as Their pastor for nineteen years and I can´t begin to say what an inspiration their love for each other was to me. Every year at Christmas time there would show up at my door with a big plate of assorted Christmas cookies and delicious snacks that were always hand made with love. Irene was such a blessing to so many and always wanted to share family news and we would pray for someone every visit .

As a member of the Hopewell Church of God, Dick and Irene will always be remembered for their dedication to the church. 20 years ago when the church had a major remodel, the Bell tower was built by Dick and Lydia. The original bell was placed inside the structure, it may ring from time to time. Today it rings to send Irene home to our maker. Thanks for sharing them with the church family all these years.
