Irene Moyer Obituary
Irene Mary "Peanut" Moyer, 90, of Fostoria, passed away at 8:06 pm Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, at her home.
She was born April 23, 1934, in Fostoria to Henry O. and Frances (Navarro) Ramirez. She married William Lee "Bill" Moyer Sr. on Feb. 22, 1974, in St. Mary's, and he survives in Fostoria.
Also surviving are children, Christina (Felix) Lerma, Alvada, Soledad Pardo, Delaware, Hope Gonzales, Fostoria, Linda Kenney, Port Washington, Rachel Geiser, Luckey, Eloisa Kisaberth, Maineville, Angela (Brian) Welly, Fostoria, William (Shelly) Moyer Jr., Fremont and Sophia (Kirk) Tahsin, North Olmsted; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Tom Ramirez, Toledo and Robert Ramirez, Fostoria.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Linda Kenney; a son-in-law, James Kenney; and siblings, Henry Ramirez, Betty Theresa Ramirez, Guadalupe Costilla and Frank Ramirez.
Irene was a 1952 graduate of St. Wendelin High School and lifelong member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, baking and cooking, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.
Visitation will be 9:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, OH 44830. A funeral Mass is at noon Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Poggemeyer presiding. Burial will then take place at St. Wendelin Cemetery. All are then invited to St. Wendelin Parish Hall for a luncheon.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Seneca County Commission on Aging or The Ritz Theatre c/o the funeral home.
