Irmgard Young Obituary
Irmgard L. Young, 79, of Fremont, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Elmwood Assisted Living in Fremont.
She was born August 14, 1945, in Frankfurt, Germany. As a young woman, she traveled to the United States to start a family, settling down and raising her three children.
Irmgard held an over 30-year-long career with the Heinz Company as a lab technician until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, knitting, spending time with her family, and caring for her two dogs, Max and Ruby. In her earlier years, she enjoyed raising plants that sprawled throughout her home. Her family will fondly remember being met with her embarrassing jokes and being urged to take a sweet treat before they left.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jeananne Webb of Tiffin, Brian (Terri) Young of Kansas City, Missouri, and Kevin Young of Grove City; grandchildren, Jessica Webb, Thomas (Jenn) Webb, Paige (Andy) Webb, Casey Young, and Carson (Maddie) Young; and great-grandchildren, Olivia and Carter.
A private celebration of life will be at a later date.
Donations in her name may be made to American Heart Association or a cause of the donor's choice.

I met Irmgard when I was 10 yrs old. We were there when she stepped 0ff the plane when she arrived from Germany. I stayed with her that 1st week @ my grandmother's house. it was a whirl wind 2 weeks. She lived across the street from us for a while & my mom went for coffee every day. I was so grateful that Irmgard that she spent time with my mom when I moved to Florida. thoughts & prayers to my cousins
