James Rinehart

James L. Rinehart, 66, of Sycamore, died at 12:55 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, at Cleveland Clinic.

He was born April 29, 1956, in Mansfield, to Calvin and Betty (Quinn) Rinehart. He married Stephanie (Dutcher) Rinehart on June 2, 2005, and she survives.

James is also survived by his children, Kristen (Chris) Krebs of Iowa, Derek (Mallory) Rinehart of Pennsylvania, Bryce (Amy) Rinehart of North Carolina, and Garrett Rinehart of rural Sycamore; five grandchildren, Logan Krebs, and Makenzie, Grady, Easton, and Thomas Rinehart; sister, Erleen (Harrell) Gillis of Maryland; and two brothers, Lowell (Becky) Rinehart of Florida and David (Carol) Rinehart of Galion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Alvin, Donald, and Gene Rinehart.

James was a school administrator with Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. He was a 1974 graduate of Lexington High School, received his bachelor degree from Heidelberg College in 1978, and later received his master's degree from Bowling Green State University. He attended Christ Church at Tiffin.

For hobbies, James loved to mow yards, cut wood, go to gun raffles with his buddies, and watch his children and grandchildren participate in their school and sporting events throughout their school years.

James' memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with Pastor Andy Wiedemann officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
