James Seyer Obituary
James Erwin Seyer, 86, of Tiffin, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025, at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.
Jim was born April 2, 1938, in Findlay, to the late Clarence Seyer and Marvelyn (Davis) Van Houten. He married Shirley Ann (Miller) in Bloomville on June 11, 1960, and she survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include a son, James A. Seyer of Naperville, Illinois; a daughter, Jacqueline K. (David) Dutton of Royse City, Texas; five grandchildren; a brother, Jerry A. (Nina) Seyer of Bucyrus; and nieces and nephews.
Jim worked as a teacher and district sales manager for National Machinery for 40 years, and also spent two years in Germany working for National Machinery. He was a graduate of Bloomville High School and went on to earn his master's degree from Bowling Green State University. Jim was a Masonic Lodge member, past district deputy grand master, past president of Shrine Club, 32 Degree Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo, past master of Masonic Lodge in Bloomville, lodge chapter council & commander, Zenobia Shrine of Toledo, and was a member of Bloomville United Church of Christ.
Funeral services for Jim will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2025, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville with Pastor Tom Kagy officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will follow Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bloomville.
Memorial contribu-tions may be made to Bloomville United Church of Christ.
