Jane Louise (Heckerd) Koselke

Jane Louise Heckerd Koselke of Overland Park, Kansas, died Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

Jane was born in Tiffin to Clifford D. Heckerd and Marjorie C. Hyter Heckerd, who preceded her in death.

Jane was a 1955 graduate of Old Fort High School. While living and working on a farm in Tiffin, she also worked for Federal Crop Insurance. After moving to Kansas in 1982, she worked as an accountant for IBT Reference Lab/ProGene Biomedical Corporation until she retired in 1999.

Jane is survived by her children, Rodney A. Barto (Christi) of Homosassa, Florida, and Michele S. Sopher (Dale) of Paola, Kansas; grandchildren, Ashlee Barto, Austin Barto, Jared Langton, Kyle Langton, and Abigail Langton; niece, Cindy Kohlhorst of Ocala, Florida; and nephew, Rick Adams, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon W. Koselke Jr. in 2008; daughter, Lorilee Rose Barto (leukemia); sister, Carol J. Adams; and nephew, Kris Adams.

There will be no service or visitation per her request. Cremation gravesite inurnment will be with her husband at Valley View UMC (Church of the Resurrection) at a later date.

Jane asks that you perform an act of kindness, hug someone you lovem or call a long-missed friend or friends.
