Jane Wilson Obituary

Jane E. Wilson

Jane E. Wilson, 75, of Tiffin, passed away after her hard-fought battle with Glioblastoma on Friday morning, Aug. 23, 2024, at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont.

She was born Nov. 24, 1948, in Tiffin, to Royal J. and Ella Marie (Schleter) Hoover. Jane married Stephen Wilson on Nov. 25, 1967.

Jane's survivors include her husband, Stephen Wilson of Tiffin; sons, Gary (Melissa) Wilson and Gregory Wilson, both of Tiffin; brother, Steve Hoover of Dayton; sisters, Jean M. Pettaway of Bronx, New York, Kathleen (David Sipe) Fitzpatrick of Bettsville, Margaret (Larry) Spaun of Tiffin, and Barbara (Larry) Aller of Findlay; grandchildren, Jake (Sara Bell) Wilson, Aaron Wilson, David (Emily) Biller, Gregory Wilson Jr., Makayla Wilson, Monica (Ryan) Poignon, and Michael Hornof; great-grandchildren, Brystal Wilson, Norah Biller, Olivia Biller, Wade Morris, Ava Hornof, Cason Hornof, and Kyarie Hornof; the rest of her large family with many nieces and nephews of which she loved them all dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law, Grace and Kelley Wilson; brothers, Donald Hoover and Dale Hoover; sisters, Elizabeth Pachlhofer and Helen King; brother-in-law, Bob Pachlhofer; and grandson, T.J. Miller.

Jane graduated in 1967 from Tiffin Calvert High School. She loved working with people as she built her business with Home Interior & Gifts and later with Melaleuca. She truly enjoyed that her job allowed her to always be helping people, which was one of her true passions. She also loved that her job allowed her to be at home and spend time with her family. Family was her other true passion. She always went the extra mile to make sure everything was special, fun, and memorable. It didn't matter if it was a big family event or the littlest thing, she made it important. She truly cared about helping everyone be and do their best. Know this, if she ever met you, she cared about you. Jane also worked at Tiffin Glass and The Gordon Lumber company before starting her sales career. Jane was a member of New Beginnings Assembly of God and was devout in her faith and relationship with Jesus.

Jane's funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424, with the Rev. Rex King officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
