Janet Kay Beisner

Janet Kay Beisner, 86, of Tiffin, passed peacefully on September 4, 2025, at The Courtyard at Tiffin Assisted Living in Tiffin, after a life full of teaching, love, and strength.

She was born in Tiffin, July 26, 1939, to the late Clayton Henry Shuman and Ann Orpah (Jones) Shuman. She married Howard William Beisner June 16, 1963, and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage.

She is survived by her son, Timothy William Beisner, of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Howard William Beisner.

Janet graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1957. Janet graduated from Kent State University in 1961 with a Bachelor of Business Education degree. She obtained her master's degree in 1978 from Bowling Green State University.

She taught business education at Toledo Whitney Vocational High School, Fostoria High School, and Tiffin Columbian High School. She finished her teaching career at Owens Community College, Findlay Branch, where she also served as an academic advisor. She retired from teaching in 1999 and from advising in 2008.

She was a past matron and member of Tiffin Chapter of the Eastern Star.

A private ceremony will take place with burial at Greenlawn Cemetery.
