Janet Bryant, 88, of Bloomville, passed away Saturday morning, Aug. 27, 2022, at St. Vincent Medical Center - Mercy Health, Toledo.

Janet was born Dec. 17, 1933, in Ulysses, Kentucky, to Richard and Julia (Griffin) Boyd. She married Roy Bryant on Aug. 16, 1950, in Ulysses, Kentucky, and he preceded her in death April 10, 2008.

She is survived by her four children, Ronnie (Judy) Bryant of Sycamore, Irene (Myron) Frisch of Bloomville, Brenda (William) Neff of Elyria, and Amy (Jeffrey) Thom of Bloomville; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister in-law, Evelyn Boyd of Hillsboro; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Bobby Lee Boyd.

Janet worked for several years as a cook at Fatheads Restaurant in Republic, retiring in 2002. She loved taking care of her flowers and she was a good cook. Her most important thing in life was taking care of her family.

Visitation for family and friends will be 12-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville. Janet's funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Padula officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bloomville.
