Janet Huffman Obituary

Janet M. (Bish) Huffman

Janet M. (Bish) Huffman, beloved mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025, unexpectedly at age 61.

Janet was born June 29, 1964, to Theodore and Wilma (Robinson) Bish in Tiffin.

She is survived by daughters, Heather (Chris) Aldred, Shelby Huffman and Sydney (Dakota) Freeland; sons, Shane Huffman and Cody Bird; grandchildren, Taven, Brogan, Ava, Nayelli, Lily, Hailie, Bentley, Briella, Jack, Jesse, Johnny and Noah; brother, Dave (Connie) Bish; sisters, Phyliss (George) Lutz and Deb (Duane) Keefe; lots of nieces and nephews; and fiancé, Mark Lawson.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father; sisters, Amy and Wanda; and brother, Tim.

Janet graduated from Columbian High School in 1982. She then joined the Army for a short time.

Janet had an infectious smile and laugh that lit up a room. She loved being outdoors, going on walks or gardening. She would be jamming out to her 80s rock or 90s country. She loved spending time with her grandkids and, of course, spoiling them. She loved knitting and would always be making curtains or pillows or sewing Boy Scout badges onto sashes. She was an amazing baker and cook, always dropping off goodies to her kids. She loved her donuts and coffee, especially when sharing them with friends or family. She always had a nice cold Pepsi for you. She was embarking on a new phase of life with her fiancé, Mark, building their home in Kentucky. She was excited to start her gardening back up and get chickens and rabbits.

She was very much loved and appreciated for all she did for her family. She was always one to drop what she was doing to help her kids. She will be deeply missed.

Private cremation will take place and a celebration of life will be at a later date.
