Janice Chinell Obituary
Janice Diane Chinell, 66, of Tiffin, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023, at her home.
She was born March 6, 1957, in Tiffin, to John E. and Doris P. (Shofstahl) Chinell. Janice and Delbert R. Smith Sr. have been spiritually married for over 30 years.
Janice's survivors include her son, Delbert R. (Dianne) Smith Jr. of McComb; daughters, Owanna Ortiz, Donnell Smith, and Betty Smith, all of Tiffin; sister, Doris Elaine (Martin) Chinell McFerren of Tiffin; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Janice enjoyed reading, watching the Golden Girls, fishing, fill in puzzles, the color purple, and loved her dog, Patches.
Janice's graveside service will be 12 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Seneca Memory Gardens.
Visitation for friends and family will be 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice or Humane Society of Seneca County.

It was with great sadness that I learned that Jan had left us
Friday morning, but joy to know that flights of angels had taken her home to her family in heaven ! No greater friend could one have on earth ,and it was an honor to be one. Godspeed Janice Diane Chinell !!
