Jean Longacre Obituary
Jean W. Longacre, 101, of Fostoria, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria. She was born June 18, 1924, in Bellevue, to William and Dorothy (Swartz) Stubblefield. She married Vern D. Longacre, May 11, 1951, in Findlay, and he later passed away.
She is survived by her sons, David Longacre of Toledo and Tim (Tina) Longacre of Churubusco, Indiana; grandchildren, Mallory, Grant (Brittney) and Bennett; stepgrandchildren, Dustin, Tiffany and Camarie Elliott, and Andrea Wagner; great-grandchild, Isla Longacre.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Jean was a 1942 graduate of Fostoria High School, attended Weaton College in Illinois and earned her RN degree from Wayne State. She worked for many years as an RN at Fostoria City Hospital. She was a member of Fostoria Baptist Church. Jean was a member of the Cadet Nurse Corps during WWII.
Funeral services will begin at noon Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Speaker Brad Schlumbohm officiating. Burial will be at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon prior to services.
Memorials can be made to Fostoria Baptist Church.
