Jerry Risner Obituary
Jerry E. Risner, 67 of Fostoria, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022, at Fostoria ProMedica Hospital. He was born May 1, 1955, in Fostoria, to Andrew & Margaret (Chalfin) Risner. He married Millie Connor July 10, 1979, in Fostoria.
Surviving is his wife Millie Risner of Fostoria; three daughters, Jaclyn (Steve) Hardie of Van Buren, Jennifer (Chad) Olson of Toledo, and Rachel Risner of Fostoria; a son, Jerry (Tara) Risner of Gibsonburg; four grandchildren, Maddy, Mari, Owen & Stella; four brothers, John (Gail) Heinsman, Bill (Linda) Heinsman, Carl (Carla) Heinsman all of Georgia and Jack (Sondra) Risner of Findlay; a sister Sue (Bruce) Myers of Arcadia; two sisters-in-law, Annette & Debra Risner.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Ed & James Risner.
Jerry worked at Atlas and retired from BOC/Linde where he drove truck for over 30 years. He was a 1973 graduate of Arcadia High School. Jerry loved playing poker, visiting Casinos, trips to Las Vegas, and played in several pool leagues over the years. He loved sports & was an avid Detroit Tigers & Ohio State Buckeye fan. Jerry especially enjoyed watching his kids & grandkids at their sporting events. He'll be missed by all that knew him even his dog Benny Bear.
Celebration of Life will be 4 p.m Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, American Diabetes Association or Wounded Warrior Project.

We loved Jerry so much.
It has been our privilege to know Jerry all of these years (43!)
He was a great conversationalist, funny, well-read, and loving. I am sure that we will tell stories about and remember Jerry as long as we live. He'll always be with us.
