Jerry A. Smith

Jerry A. Smith, 68, of Tiffin, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

Jerry was born April 17, 1954, in Florence, Alabama, to the late James Allen and Fannie Mae (Frost) Smith. He married Sandra (Montgomery) on July 25, 2020, in Tiffin, and she survives in Tiffin.

Other survivors include his daughters, Jessica (Tyler) Hodge of Tiffin, Geri Ellen Hill of Tiffin, and April Smith of Fremont; three stepsons, John Rosipko of Castalia, Mark Rosipko of North Carolina, and Joseph Rosipko of Chardon; four grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; brother, James A. Smith of Washington D.C.; and three sisters, Edith England of Alabama, Patty (Mike) Mack of Tiffin, and Jeanette Spencer of Alabama.

Jerry was a truck driver and a member of New Beginnings Assembly of God Church. Jerry was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Connie Jewells.

Jerry's funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin, with Pastor Rex King officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with military honors being rendered by United Veterans Council.
