John Grover Obituary

John R. Grover

John R. Grover, 81, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024, at The Willows at Tiffin.

John was born July 26, 1942, in Bucyrus, to John A. and Leota (Caris) Grover. He married Anna (Prohaska) on Jan. 31, 1964, in Bucyrus, and she survives in Tiffin.

John's other survivors include his children, John R. (Mardawna) Grover of Indianapolis, Indiana, Susan E. (Jennifer Vance) Grover of Silver Spring, Maryland, and Paul L. (Heather) Grover of Tiffin; two grandchildren, Nicholas H. Grover of Columbus and Nathan J. Grover of Tiffin; and sister, Ruth E. Grover of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

John retired as an Engineer at National Machinery after 25 years. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. John had a love for Astronomy and how the world worked. He was an avid coin collector, wonderful pianist, Cleveland Guardians fan, and enjoyed going on many cruises with his wife, Anna.

John's funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. There will be no burial at this time.

Memorial contributions may be made to Seneca County Humane Society or Michael J. Fox Foundation.
