John M. Lamma

John Lamma, 91, of Tiffin, passed away at 6:41 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, at Randall Residence, Tiffin.

John was born Aug. 2, 1931, in Tiffin, to the late John and Marguerite (Feasel) Lamma. He married Shirley Collins on Feb. 7, 1953, in Angola, Indiana, and she preceded him in death in 2007.

John's survivors include his children, Deborah (Dan) Tiell of New Riegel, Lynette Weiker of Fostoria, and Nicole (Nathan) Reinhart of Tiffin; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sisters, Patricia Smith of Tiffin, Linda Warren of Melmore, and June Holcomb of Tiffin.

John retired as a foreman at American Standard and later also retired as a parts deliverer for CarQuest. He was a member of American Legion in New Riegel and Allen Eiry Center and enjoyed taking long car rides to pass the time. John proudly served his country during the Korean War in U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany where he drove a M26 tank.

John was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and three brothers, Kenneth "Duke" Lamma, Harold Lamma, and Steve Lamma.

There will be no services for John at this time.

Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin, is assisting family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Seneca County Humane Society, New Riegel American Legion, or Heartland Hospice.
