Joseph G. Jackson

Joseph G. "Joe" Jackson, 59, of Bloomville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024, at Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital, after a long battle with colon cancer.

He was born Oct. 20, 1964, in Athens, Tennessee, to Homer Jr. and Katherine (Martin) Jackson. Joe married Christina "Tina" McCrory on April 26, 2009, after it took him 10 years to propose to her.

Joe's survivors include his mother, Katherine (Boyd) Hampton of Athens, Tennessee; wife, Christina "Tina" Jackson of Bloomville; sons, Jeremy (Amanda) Jackson of Tiffin and Brent (Kylie Davis) Hays of Fostoria; daughters, Britney (Brett) Moore and Bailey Jackson, both of Bloomville; nine grandchildren, Kairi, Parker, Ryatt, Rylee, Brantley, Alyson, Zander, Abram, and Clara; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Ohio and Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Joe was a 1982 McMinn County High School graduate and safety inspector at NSI Crankshaft (formerly known as Norton Mfg.) for over 20 years. He was a member of Grace Community Church. Joe was passionate about his job, enjoyed karaoking, listening to and singing the Blues, loved his dogs, Callie and Cory, and loved being at home playing card and board games. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Visitation for friends and family will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2024, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424.
