Joyce Brown Obituary
Joyce E. Brown, 68, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning, June 18, 2023, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
She was born July 21, 1954, in Tiffin, to Warren and Dorothy (Webster) Gottfried. She married Stanley D. Brown on Aug. 24, 1974, and he survives in Tiffin.
Joyce's other survivors include a brother, Dennis (Robin) Gottfried of Bucyrus; sister, Jan (Mike) Aken of Sandusky; brother-in-law, Gary w. (Mary) Brown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; many nieces and nephews; and cat, Sweetie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mark Gottfried; and two sisters, Virginia Fadley and Coletta McCue.
Joyce was a 1971 graduate of Mohawk High School and received her associate degree from Tiffin University. She was a member of Restoration Alliance Church where she was active and volunteered at the Wednesday night Kid's Club. Over the years, she worked at area banks and retired as an STNA at Autumnwood Care Center.
Joyce's services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory with the Rev. Brent Nussbaum officiating. Burial will be private at a later date at Rock Creek Cemetery.
Friends may visit and share stories with the family from 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Restoration Alliance Church, 2531 South State Route 100, Tiffin, Ohio, 44883.

Joyce was the sweetest lady. Whenever we needed VBS help at The Journey she was always available for snack time. Joyce was the heart of the kitchen help. As part of our small group Bible study Joyce an Stan would always open their home and their hearts . ALS took her too soon. Love to Stan and the church family left behind. I look forward to a reunion with Joyce in heaven.
