Joyce B. Hart

Joyce B. Hart, 83, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

She was born May 14, 1940, in Fostoria, to Harold and Louise (Droll) Elchert. She married Michael Hart on Nov. 23, 1963.

Joyce's survivors include her husband, Michael Hart of Tiffin; sons, Dennis (Lynette) Hart of Hilliard and Gary (Ann) Hart of Tiffin; five grandchildren, Abby Hart, Ethan Hart, and Anderson Hart, all of Tiffin, Taylor Wilcox of Dublin, and Kennedy (Eric) Graf of Columbus; great-grandchild, Ellisyn Wilcox of Dublin; sisters-in-law, Sue Stine and Sue Hart; brother-in-law, Dick (Anne) Hart; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Cindy Marley; brothers-in law, Joe Hart, John Hart Jr., Joe Perna, Herb Sauers, Albert Huss, and Mike Marley; and sisters-in-law, Sandie Hart, Pat Sauers, Carolyn Perna, and Ruth Hart.

Joyce was a graduate of St. Wendelin High School, Fostoria, and Mary Manse College in Toledo. She started her teaching career off at Longfellow School in Fostoria for two years. For the next 34 years, she taught second grade at St. Mary Elementary and then later became the first Computer Lab Teacher.

Joyce enjoyed vacationing, bowling, playing Bingo, attending every Calvert event, and babysitting her grandchildren and attending all their extra curricular activities. She was always supportive of her family and they were her life.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Matthew Rader officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation for friends and family will be 1-7 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvert Catholic Schools or St. Mary Catholic Church.
