June Painter Obituary
June Marie Painter, 88, of Fostoria, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria. She was born December 11, 1937, in Fostoria, to Walter H. and Jennie (Baker) Piper. She married Carl "Pete" Painter, July 6, 1957, in Fostoria. Pete passed away November 19, 2020.
June is survived by her sons, Steven (Cathy) Painter and Michael (Pamela) Painter, both of Fostoria; daughter, Jennie (John) Mueller of Mentor; brothers, James (Pat) Piper of Toledo and Glen (Janice) Piper of Marblehead; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Julie Black, and son-in-law, Bill Black.
June was a homemaker. She was a 1955 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School and a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria. June was a former member of Red Hat Society, Loudon Township Garden Club and Young Homemakers Club.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 5, 2026, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria, with the Rev. Joseph Poggemeyer officiating. Burial will be at St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery, Fostoria. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria.
Memorials can be made to Ohio Living Hospice or Arthritis Foundation NE Ohio Chapter, 173 Fredericksburg Dr., Avon Lake, OH 44012.
