Karen Risner Obituary
Karen L. Risner, 65, of New Riegel, died at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.
She was born July 6, 1957, in Tiffin, to Paul and Alma (Biller) Risner. She was never married.
Karen is survived by three sisters, Candy (Jim) Nye of Carey, Justine (Jeff) Fox of New Riegel, and Amy (Dave) Benner of Tiffin; brother, Todd Risner of Tiffin; sister-in-law, Sue Risner of Tiffin; 13 nieces and nephews; and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Brian Risner; and her parents.
Karen had a best friend, Jane Runion, and her children, Lisa Bocik of Deshler, Richard Runion of Berwick, and a deceased daughter, Alicia Runion, who lived with her throughout her life. Karen also considered Jane's grandchildren, Michael, Janelle, Leslie, and Tyler, who is deceased, plus three great-grandchildren, as her own. Karen also had another close friend, Cheryl Delarosa of Berwick, who she cherished.
Karen worked for 20 years at the former Budd Company, Carey, where she retired. Karen loved to travel, especially to West Virginia with family. She loved dogs, enjoyed campfires, and just spending time with family.
Karen's memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with Dan Cleland officiating. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
