Ken Shaffer

Ken Shaffer, 47, of Clyde, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Bellevue Care Center.

He was born Feb. 9, 1976, in Upper Sandusky, to Kenneth Ray Shaffer and Pamela Keszeg. Kenneth, also known as Ken, was a down-to-earth guy who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a passion for RC aircraft and was deeply involved in the hobby. Ken was an active member of TORCM in Tiffin and Eagle Squadron in Galion. He enjoyed teaching and supporting anyone interested in RC aircraft.

Ken's survivors include his wife of 25 years, Karen Shaffer; daughters, Alana (Greg Schuck) Shaffer of Clyde and Danelle (Andrew) Schoepfle of Columbus Grove; and half-brothers and half-sister, K. Robert Shaffer of Portland, Oregon, Cindi (Steve) Chasse of Findlay, Jim (Jill) Shaffer of Republic, and Tim (Pam) Shaffer of Kansas, Ohio.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Ray Shaffer; and mother, Pamela Keszeg.

Ken graduated from Clyde High School where he enjoyed his high school years in marching band and jazz band.

No memorial services will take place at this time.

A memorial of life will be at a later date to celebrate Ken's life and the impact he had on those around him.

In loving memory of Ken Shaffer, may his passion for RC aircraft and his kindness be forever remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

The first time that I met him was at Joe Nall. My battery died in my car and I couldn't get anyone to jump start it . I saw Ken and he and asked him and he came over and took care of it. Benn friends ever since. Prayers sent from my Wife and I to the family.
