Kenneth Omlor Obituary

Kenneth E. Omlor

Kenneth Elmer Omlor, 70, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo after a courageous battle with cancer.

Ken was born April 28, 1955, in Tiffin, to Richard and Mary Omlor.

Survivors include his children, Michael Omlor (Amber Bish) of Tiffin, Becky (Randy) Ramsey of Arizona, and Jason Morrow of Tiffin; his eight grandchildren, Trinity Buchholz, Michael Omlor, Gracie Omlor, Autumn Ramsey, Madison Ramsey, John Ramsey, Lynn Matthews, and Kyra Matthews; and one great-grandchild due in the upcoming weeks. Other survivors include his siblings, Phil (Marilynn) Omlor, Jane Swan, Theresa Provino, Angela (Mike) Locicero, Daniel Omlor, and Jerry (Melissa) Omlor; and his loyal dog, Chief.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Joe Omlor, Bob Omlor, Patrick Omlor, and Annette Walters; and his faithful dog, Daisy.

Ken attended Calvert High School. He proudly worked for Webster Industries as a facility maintenance worker, retiring in September 2021 after 28 years.

Known for his feisty spirit and fun nature, Ken had a great sense of humor. He was a man who loved the outdoors and found his peace on the river, fishing on his boat with his dog.

He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, spending time with his family and friends, hunting for arrowheads, buying lotto tickets, and taking walks with Chief. Ken loved his family and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his first great-granddaughter, Samantha Riley Carpenter.

Ken always loved a good adventure when he was younger - especially the kind that involved BB guns, treehouses, and a band of brothers causing trouble at Bell's Farm. He and his brothers built their own "fort" in the trees, arming it with BB guns, until they stayed out too late one evening, and their Dad shut the whole operation down. It was fun while it lasted!

Ken was the kind of man who didn't need much, just a good day, a little luck, and the company of those he cared about.

Ken's celebration of life will be at noon Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Bel-Mar Boat Landing, 1700 Duchess Lane, Tiffin.

Dear Daniel and the Omler Family,

I am deeply sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I fondly remember our days at St. Mary's, where the bonds we shared as families brought us closer together. The Omler and Hartzell families were both large and filled with love, and I cherish the memories we created together.

May the love and support of your family and friends bring you peace and comfort in the days ahead.

With heartfelt sympathy,

[Helen Hartzell´s Guinther
