Kurt Hayes Obituary

Kurt Dane Hayes

Kurt Dane Hayes, 67, of Fostoria, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.

He was born June 23, 1957, in Fostoria, to Thomas and Selma (Beers) Hayes. He married Jeudi McBeth and they later divorced.

Kurt retired from Honeywell in Fostoria and was a graduate of Fostoria High School. He was a member of Fostoria Moose Lodge, Cleveland Browns Backers, and Geary Family YMCA. He was also an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, and spending time with his dogs, Brutus and Buckette. Kurt loved flowers just like his mother.

He is survived by his sister, Tomett (Neil) Yates of Fostoria; nieces, Jennifer Reinhart and Jessica (Bryon) Helms, both of Fostoria; nephew, Trey Yates of Fostoria; great-nieces, Jocelyn (Nick) Scaife and Riann (Braedon) Tipple; great-great-nephew, Jaxon Meyers-Reinhart; and great-great-niece, Atley Tipple.

Kurt was preceded in death by his parents.

Burial will be private at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Kurt's celebration of life will be 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, at Fostoria Eagles, 1049 N. Countyline St., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830.

Memorial contributions can be sent to Geary Family YMCA.
