Laron L. Baker

Laron L. Baker, 83, of New Riegel, a devoted husband, loving father and wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, surrounded by his family.

He was born August 22, 1942, in Dayton, to Ralph Baker and Mary Jo Lewis.

Laron was the loving husband to Faye Baker for 57 years; devoted father to Robert (Mary) Baker and Jeff Baker; grandchildren, Alyssa (Curtis) Bieber, Ashley (Bailey) Baker, Courtney (Andrew) Brickner and Matthew (Ryann) Holsinger; and great-grandchildren, Baker, Ari, Kinsley, Brett, Emma and Hattie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and twin sister, Sharon Fredrick.

Laron worked as a meat processor at Riegel Meats for 40 years. He was a member of All Saints Parish in New Riegel. His favorite pastimes were playing a competitive game of 31 at the holidays with his family, fishing, and tinkering at the shop.

Private graveside service will be at St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery, Frenchtown.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
