Larry Shock Obituary
Larry C. Shock, 75, of Republic, passed away Saturday evening, Feb. 25, 2023, at his home in Republic.
Larry was born March 6, 1947, in Tiffin, to the late Charles F. and B. Jean (Pendelton) Shock. He married Virginia Arbogast and they later divorced.
He is survived by two children, Anthony C. Shock of Republic and Denise (Michael) Stokes of Whitehouse; grandson, Daniel Stokes of Whitehouse; companion, Susie Wilhelm of Fremont; brother, Bryan (Kelly) Shock of Attica; and three sisters, Sara Kessler of Tiffin, Janet (Richard) Hendricks of Fremont, and Beverly (Russell) Fox of Tiffin.
Larry was a long-time employee for Clyde Whirlpool, working as a setup man and in the maintenance department. He retired in April, 2011. He was a 1965 graduate of Scipio-Republic High School and member of Clyde Eagles, Clyde Moose, and Clyde VFW. He was an U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Larry also was avid late model race car fan.
Visitation for family and friends will be 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, Bloomville. Larry's funeral will be 12 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph P. Joseph officiating. United Veterans Council of Seneca County will conduct military services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Seneca Memory Gardens, Tiffin, at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Republic-Scipio Fire Department and EMS.
