Lenora Belle Thompson

Lenora Belle Thompson, 84, of Bloomville, passed away Wednesday morning, Nov. 30, 2022, at Elmwood Assisted Living.

She was born Aug. 5, 1938, in Huron County, to Edward E and Margaret G. (Mott) Day. She married Paul L. Thompson on Sept. 15, 1956.

Lenora's survivors include her husband, Paul L. Thompson of Bloomville; son, Steven (Vicki) Thompson of Attica; daughter, Cindy (Dan) Zachman of Bloomville; six grandchildren, Clayton Thompson, Jason Thompson, Carson Thompson, Zachary Zachman, Joshua Zachman, and Chelsea Wilson; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Shawn Thompson; and sisters, Delores Parker, DeLee Brewer-Heard, and Darla Conner.

Lenora graduated in 1956 from Attica High School. She enjoyed being at home, cooking, family dinners, crocheting, yard work, gardening, planting trees, baking, especially her black raspberry cobbler, canning, reading, day trips around Ohio, going to the Smoky Mountains, listening to Bluegrass, and spending time with her family. She self-taught herself to play the piano and many other instruments, which she also enjoyed.

Lenora's funeral will be 12 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Pastor Michael Padula officiating.

Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral Monday at the funeral home.
