Leona C. Mogle

Leona C. Mogle, 83, of Tiffin, died Sunday, July 14, 2024, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 21, 1941, in Frenchtown, to Aloysius and Mildred (Fox) Lucius. She married John L. Mogle on Nov. 24, 1962, in Tiffin, and he survives.

Leona's other survivors include a son, Jason (Melissa) Mogle of Cincinnati; two daughters, Jeanne (Jay) Hoy of Bloomville and Beverly Mier of Delaware, Ohio; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Herman (Pat) Lucius and Harold (Pat) Lucius, both of Tiffin; and four sisters, Inez Lauterbur and Viola (John) Ink, both of Tiffin, Oleta (Tom) Miller of Republic, and Marie Lucius of Delaware, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Mark Lucius, Vincent Lucius, Ralph Lucius, and Leonard Lucius; and two sisters, Mary Jo Cramer and Theresa Zeigler.

Leona attended Tiffin Columbian High School and graduated from Sentinel Vocational School while in her 50s. She worked in food service at Mercy Hospital and was Past President of Eagles Auxiliary.

There will be no visitation and Leona's celebration of life will be at a later date.
