Leroy Taylor Obituary
Leroy O. Taylor, 87, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday morning, Sept. 29, 2022, at his home.
He was born March 20, 1935, in Little Mexico, Ohio, to Carl O. and Lucille (Biller) Taylor. He married Beverly A. Haudenshild on March 17, 1956.
Survivors include his son, Chad Taylor of Tiffin; daughter, Amy (Robert) Somers of Tiffin; brother, Bernie Taylor of Tiffin; sisters, Mary Slavey of New Riegel and Joann Hemlinger of Tiffin; 11 grandchildren, Julia Cap, Shawn Cap, Chris Bonham, Shaelyn Emery, Shannon Emery, Autumn Taylor, Alysa Taylor, Brandon Somers, Hailee Somers, Amber Somers, and Robert Somers; and five great-grandchildren, Jesse Bonham, Olivia Webb, Carter Webb, Adalynn Somers, and Jacèon Somers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and daughter, Valerie Cap.
Leroy was a lifetime member at Cary Conservation sportsman Club. He was "Mr. Fixit" on small appliances and electrical tools at Tiffin Hardware for 25 years. He also worked for Glass House and MJ Brown, and retired from Fernwood Apartment as a maintenance man. He enjoyed camping, fishing, shooting, darts, and going for car rides around the local area.
Leroy's funeral will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, 419-447-2424, with the Rev. Dr. Jacob Yaeger officiating. Burial will be at Seneca Memory Garden with military honors being conducted by United Veterans Council.
Friends may visit with the family 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting family with arrangements.
