Lina L. Weimerskirch
Lina L. "Sis" (Krupp) Weimerskirch, 96, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, at The Willows of Tiffin after a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 18, 1925, in New Washington, to Cornelius and Agnes (Weithman) Krupp, the second of nine children. Lina was united in marriage to Richard J. Weimerskirch on July 2, 1949, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He died Jan. 13, 2011, after 61 years of marriage.
She is survived by her children, Jane (Tim) Quinn of Bay City, Michigan, Thomas (Bonnie) Weimerskirch of Tiffin, Ann (John) Jenny of Columbus, and Janis (Dick) Stasik of Bay City, Michigan; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, June Swope of Tiffin; and two brothers, Ron (Suzanne) Krupp and Dave (Kathy) Krupp, both of Tiffin.
Lina was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters, Mary Nucifera, Betty Decker, and Dorothy Link; and two brothers, Cornelius (Bud) Krupp and Tom Krupp.
She was a 1943 graduate of Calvert High School, Tiffin, and life-long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a devout Catholic and prayed the rosary daily. She was a homemaker.
Lina's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, whether it be for holidays, family celebrations, playing cards (especially 9's and euchre), or just visiting with family, neighbors, or friends. She and Rich provided their children with a Catholic upbringing and education and took pride in and encouraged their children in furthering their education. She and Rich were blessed to have been able to enjoy many years wintering in Florida in the same locale as many of her siblings and then in more recent years, their children.
Mass of Christian burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Anthony Coci officiating. A rosary will be recited 30 minutes prior to Mass at the church. Burial will take place immediately following at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
