Linda Shultz Obituary

Linda J. Shultz

Linda J. Shultz, 75, of Findlay, and formerly of Risingsun passed away peacefully Saturday, May 27, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at Promedica Toledo Hospital.

She was born Feb. 29, 1948, in Fostoria, to Fredrick and Virginia (Williamson) Combs. Linda married William "Bill" Shultz on June 15, 1968, at Wesley United Methodist Church, Fostoria.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of almost 55 years, Bill; daughters, Dawn (Chad) Smith of Findlay and Teresa Shultz of Risingsun; sons, David (Fritzi) Shultz of Germany and James Shultz of Fostoria; brother, Michael (Gloria) Combs of Fostoria; grandchildren, Samantha Smith, Gabrielle (Tim Borgerson) Smith, Connor Smith, Luis P. Campos, Nick Shultz, Phil Shultz, and Keygan Gaskin-Shultz; and great-grandchild, Draven.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Virginia.

Linda was a 1966 graduate of Lakota High School and then worked many years at Lakota Local Schools, ending her career as junior high secretary. She was owner and operator of Linda's Ceramics, member of the Risingsun Fire Auxiliary, and member of Scott Trinity United Methodist Church where she also had the position of treasurer. Among many hobbies over the years, Linda enjoyed spending time at the lake, ceramics and crafting, watching HGTV and Food Network, shopping, and she was an avid reader. Her greatest love in life though, was spending time with her family and attending all her children and grandchildren's activities.

Visitation for friends will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Barndt Funeral Home, Wayne. Linda's celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the funeral home. A graveside service will be at Bradner Cemetery immediately following.

Remembering Linda- wife, mother, aunt, sister, and friend. We are deeply sorry for your loss and pray for your family´s comfort. I remember Linda being the crafty lady, and always think of her each time my mom puts out the ceramic Thanksgiving set each year- all hand painted by Linda. She was such a good person and will never be forgotten.
