Lisa Gieseke Obituary

Northfield - Lisa Marie Gieseke, 60, of Northfield, passed away on January 20, 2025 at Northfield Hospital.

Lisa Marie Gieseke was born on July 3, 1964 to Lorenz & Evelyn (Roth) Gieseke at the Arlington MN hospital. She had emergency baptism that same day by Pastor Rosenau. Lisa attended the Sibley DAC from ages 6-13 and her beloved teacher was Mrs. Raiter. In November of 1977, Lisa started school at Laura Baker in Northfield. She loved her time in Northfield and all the staff loved her. Later she worked at EPIC putting components together. She was involved in Special Olympics and she earned awards in bowling, throwing softball and running. Lisa loved M & M's and when you visited her, she expected you to bring her some. Lisa also loved babies and she was like a mother hen, trying to keep us all close. She loved her art and music at the DAC and private music lessons at home. She was especially fond of Abba, John Denver and the Bee Gees.

Lisa is survived by her mother: Evelyn Gieseke of Hutchinson; siblings: Larry (Jan) Gieseke of Arlington; Barb (John) Buss of Chandler, AZ; Deb Gieseke of Arlington; Mark Gieseke and special friend Janice Kriz of Merrifield; Rodney Gieseke of Henderson; Vicki Messner of NYA; and Pam Hermann and special friend Kurt Fossen of Belle Plaine as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Lorenz Gieseke, her brother Glenn Gieseke and her nephew Jason Gieseke and her great nephews Jacob Gieseke and Alex Gieseke.

A celebration of Lisa's life will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Bierman, Benson & Langehough Funeral Home, Northfield. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Arlington, Minnesota.
