Lois A. Adams

Lois A. Adams, 96, of Bradner, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Independence House, Fostoria.

She was born Aug. 9, 1927, in Bradner, to Arthur and Goldie (Hathaway) Youngs. She married Herbert E. Adams on July 21, 1951, in Bradner, and he passed away March 25, 1974.

Lois is survived by her son, Herbert L. (Deb) Adams of Bradner; daughter, Susan K. (Joe) Gosche of Kansas, Ohio; grandchildren, Andrew (Christina) Adams, Mark (Ashley) Adams, Steve (Jolie) Adams, Julie (Brad) Posey, and Kelly (Lucas Knaggs) Gosche; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Goldie; stepmother, Mildred Crawfoot; husband, Herbert; brother, James; and stepsisters, Doris Fast and Mary Crawfoot.

Lois was a 1945 graduate of Bradner High School. After graduation, she went to Bowling Green State University where she obtained her bachelors degree. She worked for over 30 years at Brush Wellman in the chemistry lab as a supervisor. She was a member of Bradner United Methodist Church, Pemberville Eastern Star, Bradner Omegus Women's Club, and was also on several bowling and golf leagues. In retirement, Lois enjoyed spending her winters in Sebring, Florida and her summers at Devil's Lake in Michigan.

Services for Lois will be private. Burial will be at Bradner Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Bradner United Methodist Church or Independence House Activities Fund.

Barndt Funeral Home is assisting her family with arrangements.
