LuAnn Consolo Obituary

LuAnn Alice Consolo

LuAnn A. Consolo, 67, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday evening, Dec. 18, 2024, with her family at her bedside.

She was born Aug. 17, 1957, in Fremont, to Lawrence (Bud) and Phyllis (Smith) Long. On Nov. 17, 1978, she married in her own words, "The One", Charles (Chuck) Consolo.

LuAnn graduated in 1975 from Gibsonburg High School and received her associate's degree in applied science dietetic technology in 1995 from Owens State Community College. She first worked at Ole Zim's, Sawmill Creek, Tiffin Mercy Hospital, and Fisher-Titus. She was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Tiffin.

Often referred to as "Soft Spoken," LuAnn's dedication to the lives of those around her was impactful and will be remembered by those who met her as humble, kind, loving, supportive, and caring through her numerous acts of kindness and generosity. She took pleasure in supporting her friends and family with handwritten cards for all occasions, especially Christmas.

LuAnn enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, feeding birds, reading, playing 31 and other card games, watching Cleveland Guardians, volunteering, and attending church groups and events. She especially enjoyed watching her immediate and extended family participate in sports, scouting, and 4-H.

LuAnn cherished the time she spent building a family with her husband. They took great pleasure in raising their three children, playing with their grandchildren, and traveling with family. LuAnn's dedication and love for her family and friends was so strong and pure that it will not only be remembered by them; it will be an inspiration to them for the rest of their lives.

Survivors include her husband, Charles (Chuck) Consolo of Tiffin; daughter, Brette (Nate) Ott of Tiffin; sons, Tony (Natalie) Consolo and Nick Consolo of Tiffin; brother, Pete (Linda) Long of Elmore; sister, Lori (Ray Nolan) Maynard of Florida; mother, Phyllis (Lawrence) Long of Lindsey; brothers-in-law, Chris and Joel (Shelly) Consolo, both of Tiffin; two grandchildren, Lincoln and Reed Ott of Tiffin; and many nieces, nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence (Bud) Long of Lindsey; sister, Darla (Jeff) Durbin of Fremont; father-in-law, Dr. Charles W Consolo; and mother-in-law, Joan (Brette) Consolo.

I worked with Luann at Mercy Hospital , she was so happy when I told her I was named after her husbands father Dr Charles Consolo as he had saved my fathers life while my mother was pregnant for me. She was the kindest , most soft spoken and genuinely good people I´ve had the luck to know in this lifetime. I know she will be missed by all who knew her. My deepest and heartfelt condolences to her family.
