Madeline R. Staib Anderson

Madeline R. Staib Anderson, 87, of Tiffin, died at 11:40 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2024, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.

She was born July 7, 1936, in Tiffin, to Bernard and Ellen (Borer) Fleck. She married Richard Anderson on Nov. 1, 2021, in Tiffin, and he survives.

Madeline is also survived by three sons, Richard (Valerie) Staib of Jackson, Michigan, John Staib of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Tony (Karen) Staib of Gahanna; daughter, Cheryl Staib-Lewis of Tiffin; three stepdaughters, Jane (Paul) Lyons of Ottawa Hills, Sarah Tomlinson of Easton, Pennsylvania, and Karen (Tony) Staib of Gahanna; four stepsons, John (Clare) Anderson of Vienna, Virginia, Paul (Patty) Anderson of Columbus, Pete (Lisa) Anderson of Bay Village, and Mike Anderson of Tiffin; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Carol Hossler and Bernadette Smith, both of Tiffin, and Sue Hart of Bradenton, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and first husband, Jack R. Staib.

Madeline was a 1954 graduate of Calvert High School and worked 14 years in the retail and secretarial fields. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Over the years, she and Dick enjoyed many trips with J. B. Tours.

Visitation for family and friends will be 12 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024, until the time of Madeline's funeral at 1 p.m. at TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-3113. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
