Marcile K. Moore
Marcile K. Moore, 98, formerly of Sycamore, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2025, at The Willows at Tiffin. She was born April 18, 1927, in Chatfield, to Rolla and Modest (Keller) Kuncy Hufford. She married Max Moore, May 5, 1950, and he died April 27, 1987.
Surviving are the following children, Kay Howard, Sycamore and Barrie (Dan) Harrold, Carey. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Matt Litton, Sycamore, Justin (Audra) Litton, Bowling Green, Tara (Scott) Parker, Findlay, Scott (Alyssa) Harrold, Maumee, Corey (Kaitlyn) Harrold, Carey, O., and step-daughter, and Ashley (Alan) Brodman, Carey; six great-grandchildren, Corrine and Beckett Parker, Findlay, Braxton and Rylee Harrold, Maumee, and Evan and Hannah Harrold, Carey; and six stepgreat-grandchildren, Taylor, Julia, Nathan, and Emily Brodman, Carey and Cameron and Landon Deiter, Bowling Green.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max; father, Rolla Kuncy; mother and stepfather, Harrison Hufford; and two sisters, Garneita (Jim) Hufford and Marian (Jim) Ekleberry.
Marcile was a 1945 graduate of Sycamore High School, where she was the class valedictorian. She was the Sycamore High School secretary for many years and was also treasurer of Sycamore Board of Education.
She was a member of Sycamore United Church of Christ, where she served as organist for 40 years, on the consistory, and as church treasurer. Also served on Mohawk Board of Education for two terms, inducted into the Mohawk Hall of Fame, was a charter member of Sycamore Music Club and Little Theater Club and was an avid traveler all over the world.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Willows at Tiffin for the care they provided Marcile.
Funeral services for Marcile will begin at 1 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2025, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. Darrin Harvey officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore. Visitation will be from 10a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2025, at the funeral home prior to funeral service.
