Margaret A. Selvey

Margaret A. Selvey, 82, of Clyde, died Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at her home following declining health.

Margaret was born Dec. 4, 1941, in Port Clinton, to Helen (Yurista) and Richard Coffman.

She was a 1959 graduate of the former Green Springs High School. Margaret then graduated from Maumee Valley School of Nursing.

Margaret was the Director of Admissions at the former Villa in Green Springs prior to her retirement. She was the Director of Nursing before that.

Margaret was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where for many years she had shared her musical ability by playing the organ. She was an avid Bingo player, as well as card player. Margaret enjoyed crafts including crocheting, quilting, cross stitch, cake decorating, and basket making.

She married Sanford "Turtle" Selvey on June 3, 1961, and he survives.

Margaret is also survived by their children, Michael (Sandy Sanchez) Selvey of Clyde, Anne (Mark) Pocock of Green Springs, and Jim (Elaine) Selvey and Becky (Jim) Rohrbach, both of Clyde; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Matt, Eric, Lindsey, Courtney, Jeremey, Victoria, and Kimberly; three great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jo (Dale) Stein of Michigan; and sister-in-law, Kathy Coffman of Port Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, George Coffman.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2024, until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Vine St., Clyde.

Burial will be at Green Springs Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or Clyde Food Pantry.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde.
